Seedlings - tiny, tender, pushing up through hard soil, forming to embrace glorious light with verdant leaves, reaching deep to a firm foundation to soak in rich nourishment. Thoughts in one's mind seek fertile soil, hoping to sprout into seedlings with potential to make a difference, to bear fruit, or at least to provide shade from summer sun.

Quiet Surrender
She gazed into his eyes watching the stories flicker across his face, memorizing every move of his hands, every shadow, every glimmer. Her heart overflowed with adoration. He could never be hers alone, but she treasured his love more than life itself. She contented herself in total surrender to him, even if that just meant sitting quietly at his feet.
