Shall We Dance?

This is my response to Matthew 11:28-30

You offer your hand

You invite me to dance.

I am shy.  I accept.

You take me.

With my hand in your hand

With my eyes on your eyes

Put your hand on my waist

And lead me.

Let me step to your time.

Let me sway to your beat. 

Let me spin and return.

You dip me.

You are strong, you are kind

Your heart knows my heart.

You are patient with me.

You are smiling.

You whisper my name.

Your words guide my feet.

I delight in your love.

We are dancing!

I will dance in your arms.

I will gaze at your face

I will follow your lead.

I love you.
